| Wolff Recoil and Firing
Pin Springs for 1911 and Commander Pistols. Experts recommend
replacing the recoil spring every 2000 rounds since the spring is weakened
from cycling. Weak springs cause malfunctions and increased wear or
battering. The factory standard spring is for reliable cycling with
standard ammunition. When using +P or increased pressure cartridges,
such as many brands of self defense ammunition, increased power springs
are recommended. All recoil springs include an extra power firing
pin spring. It is recommended that you replace your firing pin with
this new spring. Extra power
firing pin springs help eliminate accidental
discharges when the pistols are dropped on the muzzle and reduce firing pin drag on primers.
